Juniata Defeats Men's Volleyball 3-2 in Marathon Five-Game Match

Princeton, N.J. - Juniata, who defeated Princeton 3-1 earlier this season, won three straight games to beat the Tigers 3-2 (28-30, 27-30, 30-21, 30-25, 15-9). Senior captain Steve Cooper led the Tigers with 16 kills, and the Eagles had a 14-5 block advantage on the Tigers. Cooper also had 10 digs, and freshman Jason Liljestrom added 54 assists. Unfortunately, Cooper also had 13 hitting errors, which proved to be the pivotal statistic in Friday night's contest.
Ryan Genova led the Eagles with 21 kills, while Scott Kofmehl had game-high 62 assists.
The loss drops Princeton to .500 on the season, and it hosts George Mason on Sunday, April 1 in Dillon Gym at 2 p.m.
