Oliver Stroeh, a four-year letterwinner in swimming, has won the 1916 Cup.
The 1916 Cup is presented to the varsity letterwinner who, continuing in competition in his or her senior year, achieved at graduation the highest academic standing. It was given by the Class of 1916 on the occasion of its 50th reunion.
An ecology and evolutionary biology major from Burke, Va., Stroeh twice swam at the Eastern championships, and he was an integral part of maintaining the Princeton's men's swimming team's streak of never having lost a dual meet at DeNunzio Pool.
Stroeh, a breaststroker and sprint butterflyer, spent the second semester of his junior year studying in Brazil.
