The Department of Athletics is looking to develop a career networking system to aid student-athletes with placement into full-time employment and internship opportunities. The department is in need of alumni, friend and parent volunteers to fill two different roles.
1. Mentor - individual would be willing to field questions from student-athletes about paths to certain careers. This individual would be willing to provide contact information to be published in a reference guide for student-athletes.
2. Advocate - volunteer would be proactive in assisting to place student-athletes in employment positions, by informing the Athletic Department of openings within individual's company and/or field. This individual would also receive a yearly mailing of the Student-Athlete Resume Book, which will be published annually in December.
