Lawrenceville, N.J. - Despite a team-high 28 kills and 23 digs from sophomore Kellie Cramm (Laguna Beach, Calif.), the Princeton women's volleyball team suffered a tough 3-2 loss to Rider in the opening game of the Rider Invitational.
The Tigers lost the first game of the match 30-23 but rebounded to take the next two games 30-27. Unfortunately the Broncs came back and were able to take the last two games of the match 30-28 and 15-12 to close out the win.
Senior captain Ana Yoerg (Bloomfield, Mich.) finished with a team-leading 39 assists. Sophomore Marissa Becker (Newport Beach, Calif.) and freshman Alex Brown (Los Altos, Calif.) contributed 22 and 21 digs respectively. Junior Abby Studer (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) contributed 11 assists and freshman Ashley Webber (South Pasadena, Calif.) recorded eight assists and 14 digs.
Princeton will face Hartford tomorrow at 9 a.m. before it closes out the Rider Invitational with a match against LIU at 1 p.m.
