Philadelphia - The Princeton men's squash team will play for the Ivy League championship in the next two weekends. Before the Tigers could worry about what loomed on the horizon, however, they had to take care of business Thursday night against a pesky Penn team that was talking upset in the school newspaper during the day.
Princeton, though, had way too much firepower for the Quakers, sweeping to a 9-0 win that kept the Tigers unbeaten.
Princeton, now 3-0 in the Ivy League, hosts Yale Saturday afternoon (3 p.m.). A win in that match would send the Tigers to Harvard the following weekend in search of a second league title in three years.
As for the Penn match, Will Evans won at No. 1, leading a lineup that followed with David Yik, Dan Rutherford, Peter Kelly, Eric Pearson, Dent Wilkens, Adam Zimmerman, Rod Siverd and Nathan Beck.
