Volleyball Falls to Villanova 3-2

Villanova, Pa. - Despite winning the first two games of the match, the Tigers fell to Villanova 3-2 in women's volleyball action. Kellie Cramm (Sr., Laguna Beach, Calif.) tallied 18 kills for the Tigers. Villanova was led by Erin Briunas and Kerri Sullivan who each tallied 25 kills for the Wildcats. With the loss, Princeton slips to 11-5 on the season. Villanova improves to 13-15.
Princeton took the first two games 30-22 and 32-30 put the wildcats rallied in the second half of the match, capturing the final three games 30-15, 30-21, 19-17. Michelle Buffum (Sr., Newport Beach Calif.) tallied 16 kills in the match; Ashley Weber (So., South Pasadena, Calif.) had 12. Abby Studer (Sr., Single Mountain, Tenn.) recorded 2.5 blocks for the Tigers. Princeton tallied 30 errors in the match including nine serving errors.
Villanova's Sullivan and Megan Abbott combined for a total of 12 blocks in the win.
Princeton returns to action on Friday, November 1 when it host Columbia at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers will face the Big Red of Cornell on Saturday, November 2 at 4:00 p.m. Princeton at 4-3 in the Ivy League will face all league competition for the remainder of the season.
