Princeton scored the games first goal midway through the first period. While on the power-play Sebastian Borza, playing the right point, passed the puck across the to Maglione on the far point. Maglione loaded and fired a shot that fooled Brown goaltender Yann Danis to give Princeton the 1-0 lead. Steve Slaton also assisted on Maglione's second of the season. The Tigers made it a two-goal lead just nine seconds into the second period. Owen won the opening face-off back to Slaton. Slaton passed across ice to Jesse Masear who found Owen on the blueline. Owen then skated the puck in, put a move on the Brown defender and wrested a shot that beta Danis high on the glove side for his fourth goal in three games.
The momentum slowly began to shift and Brown got on the board at 10:57 when Shane Murdyk beat Princeton goaltender Trevor Clay. Adam Saunders scored just under three minutes later to tie the game. Saunders' power-play goal came as he was left in front and able to fake Clay out of position. Brown added one more goal, scored by Paul Esdale, in the second period to take a 3-2 lead to the lockeroom.
Brown began the third much like Princeton began the second, scoring right off the bat to take a two-goal lead. Jason Wilson scored the goal, which was assisted by Tye Korbl. Pascal Denis added a goal at 13:22 to make the score 5-2. Les Haggett carried the puck into the Tiger zone, where he was stood up by a defenseman. He then dropped a pass that Denis blasted past Clay for his fifth of the season.
Danis made 18 saves to record his fifth win of the year while Clay turned aside 17 shots in the loss.
The Tigers (1-12-0) host Massachusetts on Thursday night. Last weekend, the Minutemen posted a 5-3 win over Princeton in Amherst.
