Wrestling Drops 25-11 Decision At Brown

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brian Kirschbaum (So., Madison, NJ), John Knorring (Jr., Wheaton, IL) and Greg Parker (Jr., Clifton Park, NY) and won their matches but it was not enough as the Princeton wrestling team fell to Brown, 25-11 on Sunday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Kirschbaum put the Tigers on the board with a 13-2 major decision over Ryan Gill at 125 lbs. Knorring followed that win with a victory of his own. He earned a 7-3 decision over Rob Apgar at 133 lbs. to cut the Bears' lead to 9-7, but that was as close as it would get as Brown won the next four matches to pull ahead 22-7.
Parker posted four points for Princeton with a 10-0 major decision over Chris Ayers at 174 lbs. but Brown was able to close out the match, 25-11, with a win at 184 lbs.
Princeton is now 3-15, 0-4 in the Ivy League. The Tigers host Central Michigan on Friday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m.
