Water Polo Defeats U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 15-8 in Season Opener

Princeton, N.J. - Senior co-captain Robert Urquhart led the Tigers with four goals as the Tigers open the 2002 season with a 15-8 victory over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy during the Princeton Invitational. Princeton is hosting the Princeton Invitaitonal, a round-robin style tournament that we last through Sunday, September 15, 2002.
Urquhart scored two of his four goals as the Tiger opened a 5-1 lead after the first quarter. Princeton continued to pressure USMMA, taking a 8-2 lead by half time. Michael Murray finished the game with 3 goals for the Tigers and senior co-captain Kevin Foster tallied two in the match. Chris Armato, Dean Riskas, Jamal Motlagh, Sean McIntire, Derrick Wong and Jacob Harter each scored one goal for Princeton.
The Tigers will face St. Francis this evening at 8:00 p.m. and Air Force tomorrow at 1:15 p.m.
