Women's Cross Country Wins 27th Annual H-Y-P Meet

Cambridge, Mass. - The Princeton women's cross-country team finished first in the 27th annual Harvard-Yale-Princeton meet held at Franklin Park earlier today to win the Cheever Memorial Trophy. Princeton Emily Kroshus won the event in a time of 17:08 to win her third consecutive race of the fall season.
Behind Kroshus was a parade of Princeton finishers as the Tigers swept the top five. Cack Ferrel placed second for the second week in a row, four seconds back. Next came Carrie Strickland with a 17:42, Marian Bihrle with a 17:44 and Mia Swenson one second behind that. Laura Petrillo made it six Tiger in the top 10 with her seventh-place finish.
The Tigers race at Lafyette's Leopard Invitational next Saturday.
