No. 4 Dartmouth scored goals in all three periods to earn a 4-0 shutout of No. 8 Princeton Saturday afternoon at Thompson Arena in Hannover, N.H. The loss drops Princeton's record to 12-6-2 overall and 5-3-0 in the ECAC.
Dartmouth opened the scoring midway through the first period on a goal from Katie Weatherston that was assisted by Carly Haggard and Sarah Clark. Dartmouth scored twice in the second stanza, with Haggard scoring 27 seconds in to the period and Cheryl Muranko scoring with 1:14 remaininf in the period. Weatherston closed out the scoring at 8:07 of the third period.
Megan Van Beueskom made 26 saves in the loss while Dartmouth goaltender Amy Ferguson sticked aside 21 shots for the shutout.
Princeton returns to the ice next weekend with road games at Cornell and Colgate.
