Clarkson scored twice in the first 66 seconds and five times in the first period as the Golden Knights skated past the Princeton men's hockey team Friday night in front of 1,562 fans at Baker Rink. Chris Owen scored his fifth goal in the last four games for Princeton and Trevor Beaney and Neil Stevenson-Moore scored the other Tiger goals.
Clarkson came out of the gates strong and scored twice during the games first shift. Trevor Edwards and Mac Faulkner each recorded their third goals of the season. Clarkson extended its lead to three on a goal from Jean Desrochers and capped off the period on goals from Chris Brekelmans and Kevin O'Flaherty. Princeton got on the board early in the first when Chris Owen followed up his own rebound and tallied his fifth goal in four games and his team-leading 12th of the season. George Parros and Neil McCann assistsed on the goal. Clarkson scored twice in the second period as Randy Jones and Adam Capana posted goals.
Princeton closed out the scoring in the third period tallying two goals. At 6:40 of the stanza, Scott Prime set up Trevor Beaney as he notched his first goal of the season and then Neil Stevenson-Moore scored with 27 seconds remaining in the game. Tommy Colclough and Bian Carthas assisted on the goal.
