Men's Swimming Rolls Past Navy

Annapolis, Md. - Senior Jesse Gage won three events and junior Steve Flemming won two as Princeton rolled past Navy in men's swimming action on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, Md. The Tigers won 12 events on the day and cruised to a 206-80 win to remain unbeaten on the season.
Gage won the 100-yard butterfly (55.77), 50-yard freestyle (23.15) and 100-yard freestyle (50.72) events to lead the Tigers on the day. Flemming posted his wins in the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes with times of 58.04 in the 100 Back and 2:02.88 in the 200 Back.
Senior Paul Cremer won the 1500-yard freestyle (16:02.79) while juniors Juan Valdivieso (200-yard butterfly) and Chester Yarbrough (400-yard IM) each captured wins for the Princeton upperclassmen. Junior Kent DeMond, won the platform diving event with 327 points.
Sophomores Justin Chiles (200-yard freestyle) and Jeremy Tillman (100-yard breaststroke) both won events and freshman Brian Shue captured the 400-yard freestyle for the Tigers.
Princeton improves to 8-0 with the win and returns to De Nunzio Pool next Friday, Feb. 14 for its final home meet of the season. The Tigers will face Columbia at 4 p.m.
