Wrestling Goes 1-2 On Busy Saturday

The Princeton wrestling team went 1-2 in matches held today at home and at Columbia. In the day's first match, Brown defeated Princeton 22-14 dropping the Tigers record to 1-4 in the EIWA. The Tigers then rebounded with a 28-21 win over Wagner. The Tigers then traveled to Columbia, where they fell 33-6 to the Lions.
Princeton began the day with a loss at 125, but with a decision from Brian Kirschbaum at 133 and a fall from Joe Clarke at 141, the Tigers held a 9-3 lead after three matches.
Brown then won the next four matches to take a 16-9 lead. Princeton moved with two points at 16-14 with No. 7 Greg Parker's win at 184. Brown bounced back, winning the the final two matches to earn the 22-14 win.

Princeton then faced Wagner and earned a 28-21 victory. Princeton earned key wins from Andrew Ianuzzi, Matthew DeNichilo and Matthew Hawrilenko in the match as well as forfeit wins at 125 and 174 to claim the win.
