Kilbourne Hat Trick Lifts Women's Hockey To Win

Andrea Kilbourne scored three goals and added an assist to lift the Princeton women's hockey team to a 6-1 triumph over Colgate Sunday afternoon at Starr Rink in Hamilton, N.Y. Kilbourne now has 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points to lead the club in all three categories.
The Tigers used a strong opening period to set the tone on in their favor. They broke through with two goals in ten seconds to estalish a lead that they would not surrender. Heather Jackson opened the scoring at 4:49 posting her fifth goal of the season on a breakaway. Sarah Butsch tallied her third goal of the season 10 seconds later. April Brown and Katharine Maglione assisted on the goal. Princeton added one more goal at 9:23 from Kilbourne to put the Tigers up 3-0 at the end of one period.
Princeton scored three more goals in the third period, including two more from Kilbourne and one from Angela Gooldy. Princeton goaltender Sarah Ahlquist turned aside nine shots to earn her third win of the season.
Princeton returns to action next weekend with its home and home series with Yale. The Tigers host the Bulldogs on Friday night at 6 p.m. and visit Yale the following night at 6 p.m.
