Boyle, Davis Named First-Team All-America

Damien Davis, who started every game of his four-year career, and Ryan Boyle, who tied the school record for assists in a season, were both named first-team All-America by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
The All-America teams were announced at halftime of the Division I championship game between Johns Hopkins and Virginia.
Davis and Boyle were both named unaminous first-team All-Ivy League selections for the second straight season. Davis, a second-team All-America the last two years, anchored Princeton's defense the last four years as the Tigers won one NCAA championship, played in three NCAA championship games and won four Ivy League titles. He becomes the fifth defenseman to play for Bill Tierney to be a first-team All-America, joining David Morrow, Todd Higgins, Christian Cook and Ryan Mollett. Boyle, the top feeder in lacrosse, tied Jon Hess' school record from 1997 with 48 assists this season. A second-team All-America a year ago, Boyle also set the Ivy League record for assists ina league season with 32 in six games. Boyle led Division I in points per game and assists per game.
Sean Hartofilis, who tied for the team lead with 41 goals (seventh-best single-season total in Princeton history), was a third-team All-America for the second time in his career. Hartofilis finished his career third all-time at Princeton with 125 goals and tied for eighth all-time in NCAA tournament history with 27 goals.
Princeton also was represented with four honorable mention All-Americas.
Seniors Owen Daly and Brad Dumont, high school teammmates at McDonogh School in Baltimore, played together in the midfield at Princeton for four years. Fellow senior Brian Lieberman, a defenseman, was also an honorable mention pick.
The fourth honorable mention selection for Princeton was sophomore attackman Jason Doneger, who tied Hartofilis for the team lead with 41 goals.
Doneger's brother Adam was a first-team All-America midfielder from Johns Hopkins. The first-team:
