Women's Hockey Shuts Out University of Connecticut 2-0

Princeton, N.J. - Princeton goalie Roxanne Gaudiel made 23 saves to shut out the University of Connecticut Huskies 2-0 at Baker Rink this afternoon. With the win today, Princeton is now 6-4-1 on the season.
The first goal of the game was scored early by Tiger sophomore forward Laura Watt at 2:43 into the first period. Watt's third goal of the season was assisted by sophomore's Dina McCumber and Liz Keady.
The second period did not get off to as quick of a start for Princeton as the first. At 16:07, Princeton junior Heather Jackson scored Princeton's second goal on the power play. Jackson was assisted by sophomore Laura Watt and freshman Brittany Salmon.
Both Princeton and Connecticut (5-5-1) defense kept the third period scoreless resulting in the final score of 2-0.
Next weekend, the Tigers play their last home series against Colgate and Cornell before the holiday season.
