HANOVER, N.H. - The Princeton women's squash team began a big Ivy weekend with a comfortable 8-1 win over Dartmouth Saturday in Hanover, N.H. The Tigers got wins from all five freshmen, including No. 1 player Claire Rein-Weston. Princeton will next face defending Ivy League champion Harvard Sunday.
The toughest victory for Princeton came from freshman Anina Nolan at No. 7. She won the first two games handily before falling in a pair of 10-8 contests to send the match to a fifth and decisive game. The freshman showed cool nerves, bouncing back and winning 9-2. Claire Rein-Weston won at No. 1 3-1, although she had to work hard in her games, including a pair of 9-7 wins.
"This was a nice display from Princeton," head coach Gail Ramsay said. "There were some pretty competitive games from Dartmouth, and it was good to see Princeton adjust quickly and step up their levels to match Dartmouth." Princeton 8, Dartmouth 1
