Box Score
Brian Hamming delivered another stellar performance for the Princeton men's volleyball team, hitting .733 for the match and leading the squad with 23 kills, but Juniata refused to wilt as they won the final three games of the match to shock the Tigers with a 3-2 (29-31, 26-30, 30-28, 30-24, 15-13) win.
Princeton looked energized after close wins in each of the first two games, but Blake Robinson suffered an injury late in the third game and did not return. The team never recovered from the loss of the junior outside hitter, eventually dropping that third game and the next two en route to the defeat.
Sean Vitousek and Ryn Burns chipped in 19 kills apiece for the Tigers while Jason Liljestrom led the team with 64 assists. Mark Stevens paced Princeton with eight digs.
Juniata was paced by Kevin Riser's 23 kills. Ryan Genova added 22, and Jeremy Barndt had 12. Ricky Ziegler racked up 69 assists for the Eagles, who beat Princeton for the second time this season.
With the loss, Princeton falls to 10-7 overall and 5-6 in Tait Division play. Juniata improves to 12-5 and 6-4.
The Tigers play their final home game Thursday night at 7:00pm against Sacred Heart.
