Peter Trombino has been named the Ivy League men's lacrosse Rookie of the Week after scoring two goals and adding an assist in Princeton's 12-9 win over Yale Saturday.
Trombino, who is third on the Tigers in scoring with seven goals and seven assists, has scored at least one goal in each his six career games. The Princeton record for goals in consecutive games to start a freshman season is 10, set by Lorne Smith in 1996.
Princeton hosts Rutgers at noon Saturday in the first game of a Class of 1952 Stadium doubleheader. The Princeton women will host Yale at 3 in the second game; both games can be seen on College Sports Television.
