March 31, 2005
In some ways, the NCAA tournament has come a month early for the Princeton men's lacrosse team. The Tigers, 0-4 after losses to the Nos. 1, 3, 8 and 11 teams in this week's USILA poll, open their Ivy League season at Yale (Saturday, 1 p.m., WHWH AM 1350, www.goprincetontigers.com) and begin their quest for the league's automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.
Princeton has won 10 straight Ivy League championships. In addition to chasing the automatic bid, Princeton is also chasing a piece of history: No team in any league sport has ever won 11 straight Ivy titles.
