Twelve Princeton Men's Lacrosse Players To Try Out For U.S. National Team

Matt Striebel, Ryan Boyle, Ryan Mollett and Trevor Tierney, all members of the winning 2002 U.S. team at the men's lacrosse World Championships, and Jesse Hubbard, who won with the U.S. team in 1998, are among 12 current and former Princeton players who will be trying out for the U.S. team for the 2006 championships.
Tryouts will be held June 13-16 at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County.
Princeton will account for 12 of the 120 players trying out for the team, who will compete at the 2006 World Championships in London, Ont. The team will consist of 23 players.
Of the 12 Princeton players trying out, three were from the 2005 Tigers, including captains Oliver Barry and Jason Doneger. Zachary Jungers, who will be a junior next year, is the only current Princeton player who will be at the tryouts.
In addition to those three and the five World Championship veterans, the other Princeton players trying out will be Drew Casino '04, Christian Cook '98, Damien Davis '03 and Josh Sims '00.
