Jeff Graydon has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Facilities, Director of Athletics Gary Walters announced.
Graydon, who has essentially had oversight of the University's athletic facilities since joining the department in 1990, was previously an Assistant Athletic Director. He was one of five University employees honored by President Shirley Tilghman with a Presidential Award of Merit this past spring.
Among his responsibilities are supervision of the grounds' crew and serving as the department's liaison to the University for major maintenance, engineering and construction projects.
A 1976 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in entomology and agronomy, Graydon began his own business shortly after leaving college and first came in contact with the University as an outside contractor. He then joined the staff 14 years later.
While at Princeton, he has taken a lead role in the demolition of Palmer Stadium and construction of Princeton Stadium, among many other athletic facilities projects. He also plays a major role in Community Day and the June Hospital Fete.
