Kelsch's Late Lobs Lifts Princeton to 9-8 Win

PRINCETON -- The Princeton men's water polo team needed a late from senior Chris Kelsch to defeat Harvard 9-8 and advance to the Eastern Championship semifinal round on Saturday morning at DeNunzio Pool. Princeton will face St. Francis tonight at 7 p.m. in the semifinal round.
Princeton fell behind 2-0 in the first half and trailed 3-0 with four minutes left in the second quarter before rallying to a 4-3 deficit at the half. Princeton outscored Harvard 3-2 in the third quarter and went ahead for the first time in the final frame, but still needed a goal with nine seconds left to secure the win.
Kelsch, who scored the game winner, had three goals in the game, while Brendan Colgan and Reid Joseph each scored twice. Scott Syverson made six saves.
