Women's Squash Completes 2006 Portion Of Schedule Undefeated
December 03, 2006 | Women's Squash
The Princeton women's squash team won 27 of 30 games to complete a 9-0 sweep at Williams College Sunday to complete the 2006 portion of its season undefeated. No. 6 player Carly Grabowski maintained a perfect record in her dual-match career with a 9-3, 9-0, 9-0 victory, and freshman No. 1 player Neha Kumar overcame a game-one loss to win in five exciting games.
"Neha came out in the third game and kept Toby off-balance," head coach Gail Ramsay said. "Toby attacked Neha with good length in the fourth game and kept her off balance. Neha was on the defensive early in the fifth game, but she was able to come back with some incredible attacking shots, and she followed with some really good deep shots. At 6-6, Neha played some tremendous well-played points to keep Toby from attacking. It was a good win for her."
Ramsay was also pleased with the effort of Rein-Weston, who followed a tough first game with a pair of dominant efforts in the second and third games to defeat Kate Whipple. Princeton claimed seven 9-0 wins, including a 9-0, 9-4, 9-1 victory for Casey Riley at No. 5.
