Tigers Blanked at Harvard 3-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard scored two goals in a two-minute span of the second period and added an empty-netter as the Crimson blanked the Princeton women's hockey team 3-0 on Friday night at the Bright Hockey Center.
In a game where the Tigers outshot Harvard 30-23, the Crimson scored the game's only goals. Following a scoreless first period, Harvard's Jenny Brine scored the game's first goal at 15:32 on a wrist shot from the left circle. The Crimson made the score 2-0 at 17:47 on the power play when Julie Chu redirected a pass.
The Tigers came out strong for the third period and outshot Harvard 17-2 in the final stanza but were unable to crack Harvard netminder Christina Kesler, who made 17 saves in the period and 30 in the game. Princeton freshman Brittany Parisi stopped 20 of the 22 shots she faced. The final Crimson goal was scored into an empty net.
Princeton falls to 10-7-2 with the loss and is now 8-3-1 in the ECACHL. The Tigers completed the weekend with a game tomorrow afternoon at Dartmouth.
