Men's Water Polo Drops Two at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The 20th-ranked Princeton men's water polo team suffered a pair of defeats on Saturday, falling to 11th-ranked Navy 14-8 and to Brown 10-7. Sophomore Gregor Horstmeyer scored five goals on the day.
In the opener the Tigers fell to Navy 14-8. The Midshipmen jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the opening quarter, but Princeton cut the lead to 5-4 at the half. Navy then broke the game open in the third period with seven goals and ended the game ahead 14-8. Horstmeyer, sophomore Mark Zalewski and freshman Jeff Cole scored two goals in the game.
In the second game the Tigers fell behind Brown early and cut the deficit to two goals in the fourth quarter before Brown sealed the win. Brown led 4-1 after a quarter and 7-2 at the half. Princeton trailed 9-7 in the final quarter before Brown won the game 10-7. Horstmeyer scored three goals in the loss.
