November 22, 2008 | Wrestling
The Princeton wrestling team dropped its 2008-09 season opener 47-0 at No. 21 Penn. The Tigers will travel to Lehigh Sunday.
Princeton, which is wrestling without a 141-pounder while freshman Danny Kolodzik is recovering from an offseason injury, dropped every match against a tough Penn squad at The Palestra. 2008 EIWA placewinner Tony Comunale (125) is also out in the early season due to injury, but he could return during the season.
Senior captain Marty Everin came closest to victory, but he fell 8-6 to Matt Dragon. Zack Morse dropped a 9-3 decision to Dan Zander at 197 pounds. Penn got two pins and three technical falls in the victory over Princeton.
