Men's Water Polo Advances to Southern Semis With Win Over GW

PRINCETON -- The 16th-ranked Princeton men's water polo team advanced to the Southern semifinals with a 16-9 win over George Washington on Saturday morning at DeNunzio Pool. Princeton advances to meet Bucknell this afternoon for a spot in the championship game.
Princeton jumped all over the Colonials from the start of the game with six goals in the opening quarter and pulled away throughout before GW closed the gap in the final quarter.
Senior Brendan Colgan led the way with four goals in the game while juniors Gregor Horstmeyer and Eric Vreeland contributed three goals apiece. Eight Tigers scored goals in the win.
Princeton is now 15-9 and meets Bucknell this afternoon in the semifinals.
