Ivy League Announces 2008 Academic All-Ivy Team

Five male and five female student-athletes from eight different teams were honored by the league office this week for their success in both the classroom and with their respective teams, as members of the 2008 Princeton Fall Academic All-Ivy squad.
MEN
Football player Jordan Culbreath (Jr., Falls Church, Va., Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering) was named first-team All-Ivy and was the Ivy League rushing champion.
Sprint football player Andrew Dixon (Sr., Springfield, Ohio, Comparative Literature) was the team's starting quarterback.
Football player Will Thanheiser (Sr., Houston, Texas, Politics) was named second-team All-Ivy.
Soccer player Devin Muntz (Jr., Macungie, Pa., Molecular Biology) was named second-team All-Ivy and led the team in assists.
Cross country runner Michael Maag (Sr., Lake Oswego, Ore., Economics) was the 2008 Heptagonal runner-up and finished 62nd at the NCAAs. He was named first-team All-Ivy.
WOMEN
Field hockey captain Candice Arner (Sr., Pennsburg, Pa., Psychology) was named second-team All-Ivy.
Volleyball player Parker Henritze (Sr., Atlanta, Ga., Politics) earned first-team All-Ivy honors.
Cross country runner Megan Brandeland (Sr., Prior Lake, Minn., Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) was named first-team All-Ivy and finished fourth at Regionals and second at Nationals.
Jolee VanLeuven (Sr., Portland, Ore., History) also of the cross country team was named first-team All-Ivy and placed second at Regionals and fourth at Nationals.
Soccer player Sarah Peteraf (Sr., Hanover, N.J., Politics) led the league in scoring and was named first-team All-Ivy.
