February 01, 2008 | Men's Volleyball
Senior captain Peter Eichler led Princeton with 21 kills, but the experienced Lancers of Cal-Baptist University were too explosive in a 3-1 home win Thursday evening. The duo of Yukai Sun and Donald Baliaba combined for 25 kills for Cal-Baptist, which was coming off a five-game near-upset of No. 1 UCLA.
Princeton fell to 0-2 on the season with a 30-25, 22-30, 30-25, 30-26 loss. The Tigers will look to get their first win of the season during their California finale Friday night at Hope University.
Eichler recorded 21 kills and five digs, while fellow outside Phillip Rosenberg recorded 13 kills and three digs while hitting .417 for the match. Sophomore middle Jeff McCown recorded eight kills and hit .500. Junior setter Brandon Denham had 55 assists and three blocks, while the defensive effort featured a nine-dig performance from Ka'ohu Berg-Hee and a five-block effort from both Mike Vincent and Cameron Heggi.
