February 10, 2008 | Women's Squash
The No. 2 Princeton Tigers improved to 7-1, 5-1 in the Ivy League with a 6-3 victory over Harvard Sunday in Cambridge, Mass. Princeton jumped out a big lead and held off a feisty Crimson squad in a rematch of the 2007 Howe Cup championship final.
The match featured several close showdowns, although Princeton did pick up five 3-0 wins in the match. Freshman Jackie Moss topped Katherine O'Donnell 9-5, 9-6, 9-1 at No. 3, while junior Maggie O'Toole was impressive in a 9-4, 9-1, 9-5 win over Charlene Neo.
"I thought Maggie played great today," head coach Gail Ramsay said. "She controlled the 'T' and played solid overall. She put a lot of pressure on her opponent."
Sophomore No. 1 Amanda Siebert topped June Niong in four games, which included wins of 9-0 and 9-2 in the final pair of games.
