Parker was the 174-pound NCAA runner-up his junior year, when he became the first Princeton wrestler in 17 years and the fifth ever to reach an NCAA final. He defeated the top-ranked wrestler in his weight class in the semifinals and then fell in the championship final after tearing cartilage in his rib cage during the match. He went 33-2 that year.
He finished eighth at the NCAA championships in 2003, his senior year, to earn All-America honors for the second time.
Parker was also a two-time EIWA champion, including one EIWA most outstanding wrestler honor. He was a three-time All-Ivy League selection and holds the Princeton record for career wins.
He was also a two-time Academic All-America and an Academic All-Ivy League selection.
