Sherry was hardly along for the ride.
She scored 161 goals in her Princeton lacrosse career, none bigger than the one in overtime against Virginia in the 2003 NCAA final that gave Princeton the second of two straight national championships. She also led the team to the 2004 championship game.
Sherry ranks sixth all-time in points (197) at Princeton and fourth all-time in goals. Her resume of individual honors is loaded with items such as being a three-time first-team All-America, a three-time unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection and the national midfielder of the year her senior year.
She also ranks 11th all-time at Princeton in goals scored in soccer, and she helped lead the Tigers to three Ivy League championships in the fall. She scored a goal in the 2003 NCAA tournament game against Villanova.
Sherry is currently the head women's lacrosse coach at Cal.
