Fall Academic All-Ivy League Selections Announced

The fall Academic All-Ivy League selections have been announced by each of the eight schools.
The Academic All-Ivy League program has each league institution select five male athletes and five female athletes per season who have achieved a high grade-point average and made a significant contribution to their team.
Princeton's 10 selections for the fall of 2009 are:
Men
Ben Harms (soccer) - A senior from Hightstown, N.J., Harms was a second-team All-Ivy pick for the Tigers, who reached the NCAA tournament. He is a politics major.
Dan Kopolovich (football) - A senior from McKeesport, Pa., Kopolovich was a second-team All-Ivy selection and a semifinalist for the National Football Foundation scholar-athlete award. He is a history major.
Rob Speare (cross country) - A junior from Wallingford, Pa., Speare was a qualifier for the NCAA championships, where he finished 123rd. He is a physics major.
Douglas Wigley (water polo) - A senior from Portola Valley, Calif., Wigley was the MVP of the Eastern championships, an All-East performer and a first-team All-South selection for Princeton's Final Four team. He is an economics major.
Mark Zalewski (water polo) - A senior from St. Louis, Zalewski was a first-team All-South and All-East performer for Princeton's Final Four team. His major is history.
Women
Christina Bortz (field hockey) - A senior from Emmaus, Pa., Bortz was a second-team All-Ivy selection on a Final Four team. She is a politics major.
Sarah Cummings (cross country) - A junior from Newport, Calif, Cummings finished 49th at the NCAA championships, was a first-team All-Ivy League selection and helped Princeton fifth nationally. She is an economics major.
Jennifer King (field hockey) - A junior from Greenwich, Conn, King was a second-team All-Ivy selection on a Final Four team. She is a computer science major.
Reilly Kiernan (cross country) - A senior from Pelham, N.Y., Kiernan finished 84th at the NCAA championships, was a first-team All-Ivy League selection and helped Princeton fifth nationally. She is a sociology major.
Aly Pont (soccer) - A junior from Sterling, Va., Pont is a two-time first-team All-Ivy League selection. Her major is politics.
