Reinprecht Nets Three as Field Hockey Blanks William & Mary 7-0

PRINCETON (9/12/09) -- Sophomore Katie Reinprecht scored three goals and added two assists as the fourth-ranked Princeton field hockey team blanked William & Mary 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at Class of '52 Stadium.
The Tigers opened the scoring in the 14th minute when freshman Carrie Diamond scored on a shot that she lifted over William & Mary's diving goalkeeper. The goal set off a 10-minute span in which the Tigers scored six goals to take control of the game.
Senior Kaitlyn Perrelle made the score 2-0 on a penalty stroke and Reinprecht scored the next two goals with unassisted backhand shots. Then freshnab Julia Reinprecht scored when she tipped a shot from her sister Katie into the Tribe goal. The play came off a corner. Katie Reinprecht then scored her third of game off a centering feed from sophomore Kathleen Sharkey. Cesan scored the lone goal of the second half after a feed from Reinprecht. Katie Reinprecht also had an assist in the game to finish with eight points.
Junior Jennifer King did not face a shot in the first half to earn the win, while senior Cynthia Wray made three saves in the second half. William & Mary's Carrie Thompson and Camilla Hill combined for 12 saves.
Princeton improved to 3-0 with the win. The Tigers complete the weekend on Sunday at 12 noon against Richmond
