Men's Lacrosse: Tickets, TV/Radio, Hirsch Is Captain, Game Time Changes
January 22, 2010 | Men's Lacrosse
The first captain for Princeton men's lacrosse under new head coach Chris Bates will be senior defenseman Jeremy Hirsch, who will lead the Tigers into the 2010 season beginning Feb. 27 at home against Hofstra.
And if you want to come to that game, or any other Princeton home game, as well as the 2010 NCAA quarterfinals at Princeton Stadium, tickets are on sale now.
If you simply want to watch on TV, you'll have many chances.
Princeton will play 13 regular-season games in the 2010 season, with six at home, five on the road and two at neutral sites. Season tickets for the six home games are $30 and are available at goprincetontigers.com/tickets.
Fans can also purchase tickets online for the NCAA quarterfinal doubleheader, which will be at Princeton Stadium on Saturday, May 22.
Among Princeton's away games are a March 9 game at Manhattan and a March 16 game at North Carolina, both of which have had changes to their originally listed start times. The Manhattan game, first listed as 4 p.m., will now be an hour earlier at 3 p.m. The North Carolina game has been moved from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Princeton's 13 regular-season games include eight that will be televised. The home games against Hofstra and Cornell (May 1) will be on ESPNU, as will the Face-Off Classic (March 6) against Johns Hopkins and the Big City Classic (April 10) against two-time defending NCAA champ Syracuse.
In addition, Princeton's home games against UMBC (March 13), Penn (March 20), Rutgers (April 13) and Dartmouth (April 17) will be seen on tape delay on Verizon Fios 1 Sports.
Once again, all games will be broadcast live on WPRB FM 103.3 in Princeton, and the audio will be available for free on the web.
