Women's Hockey Skates to 2-2 Tie with #10 Harvard

PRINCETON (11/13/10) - Kelly Cooke and Corey Stearns scored goals and Rachel Weber made 30 saves as the Princeton women's hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie with 10th-ranked Harvard on Saturday afternoon at Hobey Baker Rink.
Princeton had leads of 1-0 and 2-1 in the tie, but Harvard was able to even the score both times. Cooke opened the scoring midway through the first period with her first goal of the season off an assist from Alex Kinney. Princeton held the lead through the middle of the second when the Crimson knotted it up on a goal from Katharine Chute.
Tied at one entering the third period, Princeton jumped back ahead just 20 seconds into the third period as Stearns netted her third of the season with an assist from Danielle DiCesare. The lead last until the 15:49 when Chute scored from the off wing to draw the Crimson even.
Harvard outshot Princeton 32-22 in the game. Weber made 30 saves for the tie while Harvard's Lauren Joarnt had 20.
Princeton is now 3-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the ECAC, while Harvard is now 2-2-2 both overall and in league play. Princeton visits Cornell next Friday.
