In that decisive frame, Mike Helou scored from the set with three minutes left to play to break the deadlock and put Princeton ahead for good. Tommy Donahue added an insurance goal with an assist from Tim Wenzlau and Mike Merlone stopped a 5-meter shot with 1:48 left to seal the win for the Tigers.
Chris Cottrell led all scorers with four goals, four steals and ejection drawn and field a block. Donahue added two goals and Matt Hale also added a single tally. Merlone finished the game with 13 saves.
