Dec. 16 TigerCast: Kareem Maddox, Gail Ramsay and Bob Callahan
December 16, 2010 | General, Men's Basketball, Men's Squash, Women's Squash
Kareem Maddox, senior tri-captain of the Princeton men's basketball team, and both head coach of Princeton squash, Gail Ramsay and Bob Callahan, join the latest edition of TigerCast.
Maddox is coming off a 31-point effort in leading Princeton to an 82-78 double-overtime victory at Tulsa. He shot 10 of 13 from the field and 10 of 12 from the free-throw line to lead the Tigers to their fifth straight win. Maddox talks about the early success of the team and the developing chemistry for a squad he is hoping to lead to the 2011 Ivy League title.
Ramsay, who led the Tigers to three national championships in the last four years, has guided Princeton to a 6-0 start this year. Her team has gotten big production from its freshman class, which has had as many as four starters compete this season. Ramsay talks about that group, as well as No. 1 player Julie Cerullo, who is undefeated this season.
Callahan has the top-ranked player in college squash in sophomore Todd Harrity, but he also has a nine-man senior class who is looking to go out with an Ivy League title. Led by David Letourneau and Peter Sopher, that group has gotten Princeton off to a good start, but Callahan talks about the challenging road that remains ahead.
