Women's Hockey Drops 3-0 Game at Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn. (12/10/11) - The Princeton women's hockey team fell 3-0 to Quinnipiac in the second game of a home-and-home series, on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the TD Bank Sports Center.
The Bobcats scored twice in the second period and added a third in the final frame.
Regan Boulton broke the scoreless tie with a power-play goal at 5:24 of the second with help from Erica Uden Johansson. Three minutes later Brittany Lyons made it a 2-0 game. Breann Frykas scored a power-play goal at 8:52 of the third. Kelly Wheeler would get assists on both of the last two goals.
Princeton senior Rachel Weber made 26 saves in goal, while Quinnipiac netminder Victoria Vigilanti made 21 stops.
Princeton falls to 6-9-1 overall and 5-6-1 in the ECAC. Quinnipiac improves to 12-7-1 on the season and maintains first place in the league standings with a 9-2-1 mark.
The Tigers will take a break for the holidays and returns on Dec. 30-31 with a two-game set at Ohio State.
