Senior Vincent Tuminelli showed his brilliance in his final match at Princeton, but it wouldn't be enough to lead the men's volleyball team to a victory in its 2011 season finale.
Tuminelli recorded 26 kills and 14 digs, made only one error and hit .510 overall, but Sacred Heart rallied after a lost first game to pull out a 21-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-22 win at Dillon Gym.
Princeton played its three seniors, and each made an impact in the match. Middle Keenan McCarthy made four kills and hit .500, while John Morris recorded 47 assists, but Tuminelli was the star of the day. The 2010 EIVA all-tournament team selection led all players in kills and added both a block and an assist in the match.
Sophomore Michael Dye added 15 kills, while freshman Jeff Stapleton added eight kills and two aces.
