Wiedmaier, Fiorito, Schreiber Earn More Preseason Honors

Chad Wiedmaier has alrady been drafted by Major League Lacrosse, been honored for his work off the field, been selected as a preseason first-team All-America and nominated for college lacrosse's highest award.
Imagine what might happen when the season actually begins.
Wiedmaier received two more individual honors Wednesday, and he was joined by two of his teammates for one of them.
Wiedmaier, a senior defenseman, was joined by senior goalie Tyler Fiorito and sophomore midfielder Tom Schreiber were all named to the Tewaaraton Trophy watch list.
In addition, Wiedmaier was also named one of 20 nominees for the Lowe's Senior Class Award, which recognizes excellence in what are called the "Four C's": community, classroom, character and competition.
Wiedmaier, a four-year starter, has worked extensively with "Fields of Growth," helping to bring the game of lacrosse combined with community and educational opportunities to Uganda.
The 20 candidates will be narrowed to 10 finalists midway through the regular season, and those 10 names will be placed on the official ballot. Ballots will be distributed through a nationwide voting system to media, Division I men's coaches and fans.
Princeton opens the 2012 season Feb. 25 at home against Hofstra.
