Men's Volleyball Program Excited To Welcome Strong Pair Of Newcomers
July 26, 2012 | Men's Volleyball
After an exciting conclusion to the 2012 season and the return of several All-East performers, the men's volleyball team has high aspirations for the 2013 season. Head coach Sam Shweisky is hopeful that his talented pair of newcomers in the Class of 2016 can make their own impact on the upcoming season.
Incoming freshman Zach Shaw and Devin Stearns will join the volleyball program this fall, and Shweisky is excited to see how they integrate with a deep returning roster. The 2013 program will include two returning First-Team All-East players (Michael Dye, Cody Kessel), as well as two former EIVA Newcomers of the Year (Kessel and Pat Schwagler). The team also has four returning starters in Tony Ensbury, Will Siroky, Jeff Stapleton and Davis Waddell, each of whom has at least two years of eligibilty remaining.
"We're working hard to build a program with both depth at all positions, and I feel confident that Zach and Devin are going to be a big part of that development," Shweisky said. "They both come in with strong credentials, and they are both hard-working, energetic players who I believe will make a positive impact on Princeton volleyball in both the present and future."
