Men's Hockey Suffers Defeat at Clarkson, 4-0

POTSDAM, N.Y. (11/22/14) - Three Clarkson goals in an eight-minute span was too much for Princeton to overcome as the men's hockey dropped a 4-0 game at Cheel Arena on Saturday evening.
Ben Dalpe scored the opening goal late in the first period when he grabbed a loose puck at the top of the left circle and fired in the goal at 16:35.
Sophomore Jordan Boucher's power-play goal at 1:38 of the second period was followed by back-to-back goals seven minutes later.
Senior James Howden scored on a shot from the point after Dalpe won a faceoff to Boucher who fed Howden for the tally at 8:02. Just 48 seconds later, it was senior Joe Zarbo who scored on a breakaway as Clarkson took a 4-0 lead.
Princeton netminder Colton Phinney made 27 saves, as Clarkson outshot Princeton 31-23. Sophomore Steve Perry stopped 23 shots for the Green & Gold.
The Tigers were 0 for 5 on the power play and 2 for 3 on the penalty kill.
Princeton returns home next weekend when it hosts Michigan State in a two-game series at Hobey Baker Rink, Nov. 28 & 29. Game times are at 7 p.m.
