Volleyball Opens Carolina Trip With 3-1 Victory Over Pfeiffer

The Princeton volleyball team moved into the double-digit mark in victories this season when it opened its Spring Break trip through North Carolina with a 3-1 win at Pfeiffer.
Both junior Cody Kessel and sophomore Devin Stearns recorded 15 kills apiece in a 25-20, 18-25, 25-17, 25-14 road win Monday evening. Senior tri-captains Jeff Stapleton and Davis Waddell started and combined for 13 kills, while junior middle Will Siroky added seven kills and three blocks.
Freshman setter Chris Kennedy recorded 45 assists and four digs, while junior libero Tony Ensbury added nine digs. Kessel led all Princeton players with 12 digs, while Stearns had 10 to go along with his exceptional .464 hitting percentage.
Princeton will continue its stretch against the Conference Carolina teams Wednesday when it takes on both Barton and Mount Olive.
