September 15, 2014 | General
Senior Lauren Lazo helped the Princeton women's soccer team to an unbeaten week, scoring three goals and adding an assist to earn Suburban Transit GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week honors.
Princeton tied Seton Hall and La Salle and capped the weekend with a 2-1 win over Villanova. Lazo had a penalty-kick goal and an assist on the game-tying goal at La Salle and scored both goals, including one with 64 seconds left, to beat Villanova. The performance also earned her a fourth career Ivy League Women's Soccer Player of the Week honor, reaching a number only two other Tigers (Jen Hoy '13, Esmeralda Negron '05) have reached since 2001.
Lazo and the Tigers stand at 1-1-2 heading into a weekend trip to Virginia with games against Richmond Friday and William & Mary Sunday.
