A recap of all of the Princeton athletic events from Saturday, Oct. 17.
Women's Soccer: Princeton 3, Columbia 1
Tyler Lussi, Mimi Asom and Emily Sura had goals as Princeton got out to a 3-0 lead over Columbia and won its ninth in a row, defeating the Lions 3-1 to stay perfect in the Ivy at 4-0.
Women's Volleyball: Yale 3, Princeton 0
Yale took three sets against the Tigers, each of which was decided by no more than four points. Kendall Peterkin led Princeton with nine kills.
Men's Soccer: Columbia 2, Princeton 0
Columbia scored twice in the second half to defeat Princeton 2-0 in men's soccer. Columbia outshot Princeton 11-7 with senior Ben Hummel making five saves.
Football: Brown 38, Princeton 31
Brown handed the Tigers their first loss of the season, despite Princeton coming back from a 14-point second-quarter deficit. The Bears got the go-ahead touchdown in the final minute in a game that saw Chad Kanoff throw for 321 yards and John Lovett catch eight balls for 115 yards.
Men's Cross Country: Tigers 13th at Princeton Invitational
The Princeton men placed 13th at the Princeton Invitational. Sophomore Zach Albright led the Tigers across the line at 24:50.4 for 32nd place.
Women's Cross Country: Princeton 12th at Princeton Invitational
The women's cross country team finished 12 that its home meet on Saturday with a score of 276. Senior Kathryn Little was the first Tiger across the line, in 26th place, with a time of 22:05.5
Women's Tennis: Princeton through two days in Georgia
The women's tennis team finished its second day at the Georgia Invitational Saturday with three doubles matches and four singles contests. Sophomore Katrine Steffensen had a win in singles play.
Field Hockey: Princeton 4, Brown 2
Erasing an early 1-0 deficit the Tigers rallied for a 4-2 win over Brown to remain unbeaten (7-4, 4-0 Ivy) in Ivy League play. Elizabeth George netted a pair of goals, while Jane Donio-Enscoe had a goal and an assist.
