MacDonald Named Ivy Player Of The Week; Princeton Readies For Hofstra

Mike MacDonald certainly looked healthy in his first game after off-season surgery on both hips and a six-month recovery.
MacDonald had two goals, three assists and three caused turnovers on rides in Princeton's 14-4 win over Manhattan in the season-opener last Saturday. His performance earned the senior the first Ivy League Player of the Week award of 2015.
A Major League Lacrosse draftee by Rochester, MacDonald is 18th all-time at Princeton in points and 17th all-time at Princeton in goals.
Princeton takes on Hofstra Friday at 3 in a game that will be televised on ESPNU. MacDonald has 10 goals in three career games against the Pride.
After the Hofstra game, Princeton will play eight of its final 11 regular season games on the road, including a stretch of four straight that begins Feb. 28 at Johns Hopkins.
