The last time Princeton played at Franklin Field, the game included rain, sleet, snow that covered the field, sunshine that melted the snow and a 45-minute delay at halftime for lightning.
It also included an 11-10 Penn win and started Princeton down a path where in the last two seasons, its 12 Ivy League regular games have seen six - exactly half - decided by one goal. Princeton is 1-5 in those games, including 0-3 a year ago.
Before the calendar officially reaches springtime, the Ivy League has already seen six of its seven teams be ranked at least once in the top 20. With a league that has that many strong teams, expect this to be another year of one tight game after another.
Princeton's opens its 2015 Ivy season at Penn, the defending Ivy League tournament champ. The league jumps in in a big way, with Cornell at Yale and Harvard at Brown as well.

Sam Gravitte, Princeton's longstick midfielder, had the first goal of his career and the first by a Princeton longstick this year in the loss to Maryland. He also had two caused turnovers and three ground balls. He currently leads Princeton in caused turnovers.
In addition to lacrosse last weekend, Gravitte also performed at McCarter Theater in Princeton in the musical “Spring Awakening.” Gravitte was in the show Friday night and then drove to Maryland separately from the team, returning immediately after the game in time for the Saturday night show.
The last two performances of the show were the Thursday and Friday before the Penn game.

Princeton scored 14, 14 and 16 goals in its first three games, all wins.
Princeton then scored four goals in its loss to Maryland last weekend.
Princeton did not get a point in the Maryland game from any of its players on attack. Kip Orban saw his 29-game streak with at least one goal end; Orban's streak had been the longest active streak in Division I and is the fourth-longest in Princeton history. In addition, Orban and Mike MacDonald had their 31-game scoring streaks end.
The loss to Maryland marked the first time in the three years that they've been playing together that neither McDonald, Orban nor Ryan Ambler had a goal in a game.
